Testing out my new stove

After previously using a suitcase style camping stove I found it a little underwhelming and lacked enough power to boil a kettle or cook food in a reasonable amount of time.

I started looking at different styles of gas stoves that offered a bit more power and didnt leave me waiting half hour for my kettle to boil. I came across The Fire Maple Mini Foldable Stove:

I looked at a few different versions and makes of this style foldable stove but firemaple seemed to have decent reviews for the price point (around 20 quid), I was tempted by the Firemaple version of the Jetboil but decided that it would only be good for small amounts of water/soup and unfortunately didnt offer an overall cooking solution whilst on our family travels (maybe I'll put it on my christmas list).

It definitely kicked out some power when I tested it out and was incredibly compact compared to my previous stove, so great for fitting in a fully packed car. It took around 5-6 minutes to boil around 800ml of water but it obviously depends on how much you turn the heat up.

The only Con so far I would say is it ideally needs to be on a flat stable surface/table whilst using so that it doesnt topple over.

Overall so far so good, I will do another update after some more extensive testing and report back.
