FAMILY TRAVELS

Trevose Farm View

We wanted a good base for visiting Padstow on our Summer Travels, we also wanted to try a more back to roots traditional camping in a field experience. After searching a couple in the area Trevose View Farm came up and in our opinion looked perfect.

Checking In

We parked up near the large barn as we entered the field and were greeted by the friendly people at reception who gave us a quick tour of facilities and told us to pitch up were we wanted.

The pitch

We pitched up in the main field (there is a choice of other fields but they are further away from the toilets and showers), we found a nice sheltered position next to the hedge but with a view of the open field and facilities in the distance. We had loads of space around us ideal for the kids to play with their growing collection of outdoor games.

Facilities

Once settled we had a look around, the toilet and shower block were clean and modern. There was an undercover washing up area with a communal freezer and charging point which was brilliant as we did need to top our Power bank towards the end of the 2 days. Additional showers were located to the back of the barn and a large bin/recycling point a bit further past the barn.

Near the reception there is a pop up cocktail bar on an evening that also doubles as a coffee cart in the mornings, a couple of picnic tables also dotted around in this area and the reception also offer fresh pizzas on an evening from around 5pm which I would highly recommend!

Another great thing about this campsite was the fact that you could use your firepits as well as your BBQs, as we found out that alot of campsites dont like firepits/campfires nowadays I'm guessing due to health and safety rules or similar.

Accessibility

Trevose View Farm was a stones throw away from Padstow on the outskirts and after talking to the guys at reception they mentioned you could flag down one of the regular buses that went past the entrance so thats exactly what we did which was very handy.

Cost

Late July 2025: 2 x nights = £50 (£25 per night)*

*This was the price for 2 adults and 2 children

Would we stay again?

We really enjoyed Trevose Farm view, the facilities were maybe more basic compared to other places we have stayed but I actually quite liked the back to roots camping in a field. It was super friendly and the kids made plenty of friends. The food and bar were a nice touch and we made full use of both. It was nice to be spaced out quite far from our neighbors as we had a bit of privacy and the kids had plenty of room to play. This was one of my favorite campsites not as busy and chaotic as other ones we stayed at, some great facilities and little luxuries like the food and pop up bar, nice accessibility to Padstow either driving or via bus and all for the fantastic price of £25 a night.

The only downside of this campsite is that its only open for around 60 days a year over the summer period as i believe its more of a pop up style campsite but it was a brilliant find and we will 100% be back and probably for longer next time.

Well worth a visit!!
