Staying Cozy in the Great Outdoors

Camping is an incredible way to reconnect with nature, but let’s be honest, those chilly nights can put a damper on your experience. To ensure you stay warm and cozy under the stars, here are 5 essential items to pack on your next adventure.

1. Heated blanket

Your sleeping bag is your fortress against the cold. Opt for an insulated sleeping bag with a temperature rating suitable for the conditions you’ll face. Look for materials like down or synthetic insulation that provide excellent warmth without being bulky. Brands like Trail offer fantastic options that are both comfortable and effective.

2. Tentbox Thermal kit

Tentbox offer a range of thermal liners that fit to your chosen tentbox, these do a great job at giving you that extra layer to keep you cozy in your tent. Check out the range of thermal liners here.

3. Portable Heater

A portable heater can be a game changer when the temperature drops. Check out this small portable Space Heater which is perfect for confined spaces like tents. Just remember to always ventilate your tent if you’re using any type of heater and ensure to read any safety warnings with regards to covering the heater or leaving it unattended!

4. Hot Water Bottle

Sometimes the traditional ones are the best, a little hot water bottle can help keep you warm on a night and are relatively cheap to buy at around £6-10 or even cheaper at the likes of B&M, Home Bargain, The Range or in our case good old Proper Job!

5. Stoves & Firepits

Stoves like the brand Solo stoves are brilliant and are widely used by Tentboxers, they are light and portable and can burn pellets or wood at around £85-100 they are a great to have but possibly a slightly pricier option. A cheaper alternative to this is something like a Collapsible Firepit for around £15-25 they usually have a wire mesh that holds the wood and foldable metallic legs and gnerally come with a carry case. Something to also consider is that not all campsites allow fires/firepits so it might be worth checking the camp website before a visit.

With these five essentials in your camping gear, you’ll be well-equipped to tackle the cold and enjoy the great outdoors comfortably. Happy camping!
